Women As Nature
Women as landscapes, bodies as ecosystems, chronic illness as resilience, and imperfection as something sacred. Rooted in reverence for women, nature, and enduring bodies, my figurative paintings center women not alongside nature, but as nature itself—blooming, magnetic, life-sustaining, and worthy of awe exactly as they are.
My work also focuses on underrepresented bodies, particularly those shaped by chronic illness and survival. Influenced by my lived experience with severe Crohn’s Disease, I paint as a way of reclaiming a body that has often felt unpredictable and difficult to inhabit. Painting became a means of healing, expanding my understanding of beauty, and encouraging others to do the same.
I aim to challenge stigma surrounding health, disability, and narrow ideals of beauty. My work does not conceal—it centers. These bodies are not asking to be fixed or hidden; they are bold, confident, and unapologetic. Like nature, they are imperfect, powerful, and meant to be seen, honored, and allowed to bloom.

Hi, I'm Rosalee
Join Us Soon
A body positive painter and photographer. My artistic journey started when I first picked up a camera in high school. I delved into the world of self-portraiture and fine-art/conceptual photography and then later found my way to boudoir photography. Helping women find their confidence and see the beauty in their bodies, just as they are. I started painting soon after, my first series focused on women with ostomies. Women baring their stomas and scars proudly and unashamed. This project came about from my own battle with Crohn's disease in an attempt to come to terms with this serious illness and the surgeries that would likely be in my future. From there, seeing the impact my work made, I started painting more underrepresented bodies and bodies after surviving other health issues and chronic illness. My hope is to bring diversity to the art world, help others find the beauty in themselves and amplify the voices and stories of women who are often overlooked.
